Ihram is entered at the Miqat before reaching Makkah. Men wear two unstitched white cloths; women wear simple, modest clothing. From this point, certain actions are restricted until the rites are complete.
You declare your intention for Hajj or Umrah and begin reciting the Talbiyah — a call answering Allah's invitation — repeated throughout the journey to Makkah.
