Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, obligatory once in a lifetime for every Muslim who is physically and financially able. It takes place over several days in Dhul Hijjah, moving between Makkah, Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, culminating in the days of sacrifice and the Farewell Tawaf.
Unlike Hajj, Umrah can be performed at any point in the year and takes only a few hours to complete — Tawaf around the Kaaba, Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and Ihram exit. Many families choose Umrah for its flexibility around work, school, and travel budgets.
